To ensure cost effective, accessible, and quality care we work closely with most major South African medical schemes. Netcare Akeso Stepping Stones is a preferred service provider to most South African medical schemes.
In most instances, all clinical costs including professional consultations, ward fees, medication and therapy , are covered by medical schemes as part of the prescribed minimum benefits. For some specialised programmes, a small co-payment may be required, and patients are liable for any accounts not honoured by their medical scheme.
The case manager will make sure that the correct practice codes, ICD-10 codes, and doctor’s DSM reports are submitted as requested by your medical scheme/insurance.
If your insurance provider requires you to pay upfront and then claim back, your case manager will make sure you have the necessary documentation to support your claim.
Private funding
Private rates, for patients who are not members of a medical scheme or have exhausted their benefits for the year, are available on request.
